The World of Social Media: where you generally only see the highlights in a person’s life. Mostly good, but sometimes bad, we share what we think will get us attention ie. likes, comments, hearts, sometimes shares.

On October 4th when Facebook, Instagram, and Whats App were down for almost an entire workday, people didn’t know what to do with themselves. Most flocked to other social media platforms that weren’t down, creating memes, making jokes, and speculating what was going on. Others just went about their day.

In a world where social media is Queen and the Internet is King, it’s difficult to imagine a life without either. Many businesses rely on social media to generate new clients, provide mass updates on products, and create a community for those who support their business. We lean on social media as a crutch to easily interact with friends, family, and followers. So what happens when it’s down and you can’t do that? What do you do? Do you have your followers’ phone numbers? Email addresses? How do you interact with them when the platform where these people live is broken?

It’s simple: go back to the basics. Phone calls, text messages, emails, snail mail. These are all permanent options we have right at our fingertips.

I don’t really consider myself old school because I’ve always been interested in evolving technology. The idea of robots helping us with tasks has always fascinated me. But when these things fail, it’s important to have a back up plan. This is where we utilize some of those old school ways of marketing: email, physical mail, phone calls, and text messages.

It’s important to share content on social media and engage with followers, but our ultimate goal is to nurture these online relationships to take them offline

Be on the lookout for our upcoming training on how to manage your online relationships and how to take them offline to generate new business. Coming January 2022! If you are interested in being the first to sign up, email us today: hello@adminangel.life

Social Media Content Ideas

For when you want to post, but don’t know what to post:

  • There are so many educational resources online, share your findings from webinars you are attending, books you are reading.
  • Video walking up to a home you are showing, show what’s going on around you.
  • Is your neighborhood hosting activities? Share how you participate in your community.
  • Do you make a lot of calls to clients? Take a selfie while doing so with the caption: Who should I call today? DM your number and I’ll call you too!
  • Share helpful tips, DIY projects, activities for adults and kids.
  • Does the market affect your business? Share updates to show people the market is moving & grooving.
  • Highlight the vendors or partners you work with.
  • Share your morning routine!
  • Always share small businesses you support. It’s great marketing for you AND for them.

Three things to remember when sharing online:
1. Does this bring value to the world?
2. Is this relevant to what is going on in the world?
3. Be consistent, be real, be YOU!

Time is important, no matter your philosophy. Admin Angel is here to help you remove distractions from your plate so you never miss another important moment.

You are always thinking about time. There’s not enough time, time is of the essence, time and time again…

I believe timing is everything.

Hey y’all it’s the middle of October and as we get closer to the end of the year it’s time to really start planning for 2020 and beyond. After working in the real estate industry for the last few years, I learned that October-November is optimal business planning time.

What does this mean for regular business owners? For us, it’s a great time for you to get started on your 2020 business planning before we head into the holidays. This gives you time to really truly set yourself up for success for the next year and head into the holidays feeling really great about yourself and your business. This allows you to enjoy the holidays with your family and friends.

I’m super excited to talk about business planning here on the blog today because Matt, my husband, and I will be doing a mini couples goal-setting retreat this Sunday. The One Thing Company has a couples goal-setting retreat every year and unfortunately we have not been blessed to attend. However, with all of the one thing training and learning that I have in my pocket I’ve decided to implement some of those tools and workshops to make up my own mini couple goal-setting retreat this year.

Why are we doing this?

It’s important to me to set goals with my husband because we always talk about our plans and our dreams for the future however it wasn’t until this last year that we truly started writing them down. We have a joined vision board in our office area that shows some of the goals and visions we have for our future. Because these are items I know we both have to work towards we have a joined vision board. I also have a personal vision board that sits by my desk that I see everyday. These are items that I want to achieve with the support of Matt but they are more personal items or things that I want to buy or do myself.

It’s so important to have someone on your side, whether it be a best friend, family member, or partner that is supportive of your goals and dreams. It’s even better if you’re both dreamers and planners and goal setters. However I know that not everyone is a dreamer or goal setter. The goal of this mini retreat is to truly write down our goals on paper and prepare them in a way that helps us achieve them in a strategic process.

What is our mini retreat going to look like?

Our homework before the retreat is going to include listening to a few podcast listed at the end of this post. The one thing podcast has multiple goal setting episodes that will get us in the mindset to execute a great mini couples goal-setting retreat.

We’re going to start the day by eating a delicious breakfast made by Matt. Food is very important to get your brain moving and thinking for a retreat like this.

Next, we will draft process of our goals. We will use a whiteboard or a sheet of paper and jot down all the different ideas and goals and dreams we have for the next year, 5 years and 10 years.  We will organize the draft in a way where my goals are grouped, Matt’s goals are grouped and our together goals are grouped. By the end of this mini goal setting Retreat we will each have a set of goals personally and together as a couple.

After we’ve discussed some of those dream items and goals that we want to achieve, we will dive into a goal setting worksheet that is linked here.  The worksheet includes thought-provoking questions to ask your partner while setting your goals.

We will each fill out the following worksheet for ourselves while discussing each of the different parts together.

While we are dreaming and goal setting for our personal lives, we will also be planning for my business. Matt is an important part in any of my decision making process, whether it be for my personal life or professionally. I value his opinion when it comes to taking big steps, so when it comes to goal setting for my business, I want to have him there. I need him to know what my goals are so he can help hold me accountable. As an entrepreneur I have no one else to hold me accountable except for my clients and I want to make sure that I’m achieving all of my goals in a way where my clients are always satisfied with our service.

What will we talk about specifically?

We are really going to narrow down our goals for 2020. We have been talking about buying an investment property ever since we have been together. We finally want to put it in action. The other types of things we will talk about are other ways to invest and grow our wealth. It’s important to us that we set ourselves up for financial success. We want to be financially stable with no debt so we can travel and pay our bills and never worry about what number is in the bank account. We also want to be ahead of the game so one day if we have children we are as prepared as we can be.

How can we help you?

How do you set your goals in dreams? How do you prepare to achieve your goals and dreams? Do you follow a worksheet or use a tool when it comes to setting your goals? Do you write down your goals? Studies say you are more likely to achieve your goals if you write them down. Do you have someone to hold you accountable?Studies say you’re even more likely to achieve those goals if you have someone to help hold you accountable or if you have a tool to help hold you accountable. How can we help you achieve your goals and dreams and visions? Do you need an accountability partner? Do you need administrative or marketing support to help achieve those business goals for 2020 and beyond?

Admin Angel is here to help you achieve those goals and dreams and visions.  We are here to help take your business to the next level. Email us today to learn how we can support each other and achieve each others goals.
